Breakfast and dinner are included daily. Each morning, enjoy a buffet-style breakfast served at the villa. Is Puerto Escondido safe?Yes, Puerto Escondido is widely regarded as one of the safest places in Mexico. Of course, as with anywhere in the world, safety also depends on how you conduct yourself. Walking alone at night is generally considered safe, provided you stay aware of your surroundings. Show kindness and respect to the locals, and you’ll not only feel secure but also enjoy a warm and welcoming experience.

How do I get to Puerto Escondido?Puerto Escondido is served by its own local airport, with frequent flights from Mexico City and select direct routes from the United States. Another convenient option is Oaxaca Airport, located just a two-hour bus ride away. To make your arrival seamless, we provide complimentary transfers from Puerto Escondido Airport directly to the villa. If you choose to travel by bus, we’ll also be happy to pick you up from the local station.

What is the weather like in Puerto Escondido in December?Puerto Escondido enjoys a pleasant climate year-round. In December, the weather is dry and slightly cooler than average, with daytime highs around 29°C (84°F) and comfortable lows near 22°C (71°F). Humidity stays steady at about 60%, making it an ideal time to visit.

How do I book my place?Reserve your spot by clicking Book My Place and following the simple instructions. A deposit of $500 is required to secure your reservation. Once you’ve selected your activities and we’ve finalized group numbers, we’ll confirm the total cost of your holiday. The remaining balance can then be paid via electronic bank transfer to our business account. To guarantee your place, full payment must be received by October 31st, 2025.

What if my situation changes, can I get a refund?Yes, if your circumstances change, we will do our best to provide a full refund (less any charges already incurred).

How many are expected in the group?As this is our premier year, we require a minimum of four guests for Christmasforall.travel 2025 to go ahead. To ensure an intimate and personalized experience, spaces will also be limited to a maximum of 20 guests.

What is the age limit?This Christmas experience is open to anyone aged 18 and over. With so much to offer, Puerto Escondido truly has something for everyone—no matter your age or interests. We’ll ensure your needs are met so you can enjoy the holiday of a lifetime.

We are a group of two, can we join?Yes—couples, friends, and parents with adult children (18+) are all welcome. You can choose to share a room at a discounted rate or book separate rooms if you prefer. Each guest will need to reserve their own spot and pay the $500 deposit. Once booked, simply contact us to confirm your room preferences.

I'm a vegetarian, will my dietary requirements be catered for?Yes, all dietary requirements are happily catered for. Mexico’s vibrant food scene ensures that most restaurants offer options for every need. Please let us know your requirements as early as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements in advance.

I've never surfed before. Is Puerto Escondido suitable for beginners?Puerto Escondido is home to a variety of surf spots suited to every skill level. Beginners will love the calm, picturesque waters of Carrizalillo Beach, while those with some experience can enjoy La Punta—best explored during low swell. For highly skilled and confident surfers, Zicatela Beach offers world-famous waves. That said, we strongly caution against surfing at Zicatela unless you are extremely experienced, as the powerful swell and strong currents make it one of the most challenging and dangerous breaks in the world.

Do I need travel insurance?Yes, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Unexpected situations can arise, and having coverage ensures peace of mind knowing you’re protected for any eventuality.

What is the nightlife like in Puerto Escondido?Puerto Escondido offers nightlife every day of the week. From karaoke and open mic nights to salsa dancing, live music, late-night dining, and clubbing, there’s always something happening. Most bars close at 11 p.m., but if you’re looking to keep the night going, a selection of clubs stay open until around 2 a.m.

Is weed legal in Mexico?Yes, cannabis is legal in Puerto Escondido, and you may be offered the chance to purchase it on the street. However, it is strictly prohibited to smoke in public places—including the beach. Anyone caught doing so risks arrest and detention. If you choose to purchase cannabis, please exercise caution and discretion regarding where and when you use it. All other drugs, while sometimes offered, remain illegal. Their purchase or consumption is strongly discouraged.
